    NAME: Jon Niskanen

    CYCLE: #1

    STATUS: EXEMPLARY

    PERFORMANCE REVIEW (UNREDACTED):

Jon delivered something the team hadn't had in a long time: meaningful, repeatable analytics. The work required him to navigate eval work and data platform stability at the same time, all while interfacing with the PE team and multiple product teams across the org.

What made it notable wasn't just the output. It was the coordination required to get there. Jon had to earn trust across teams, align on what "good" actually looked like, and build something durable rather than just functional.

This award recognizes someone who quietly solved a foundational problem that a lot of people had been working around for far too long. Congratulations, Jon.

    CYCLE: #1

    STATUS: EXEMPLARY

    PERFORMANCE REVIEW (UNREDACTED):

Despite being relatively new to the team, Adam was thrown into a cycle full of change and never missed a beat. I placed him on the Grab Bag pod, a collection of solo pitch owners working across different areas of the app, and dove in head first as the pod lead.

Adam's adaptability, positive attitude, and willingness to jump into whatever was needed helped drive the pod to a successful outcome. For embracing change, leading through ambiguity, and making a meaningful impact this cycle, I'm proud to recognize Adam with this cycle's Excellence Award.

    Headshot of Brent Totty

    NAME: Brent Totty

    CYCLE: #1

    STATUS: EXEMPLARY

    PERFORMANCE REVIEW (UNREDACTED):

Brent has been an incredible example of what it looks like to fully embrace a new way of working. Throughout the Seaside cycle, he jumped in with high velocity, strong personal agency, and a clear willingness to take ownership wherever it was needed. He not only adapted quickly to our Shape Up structure, but helped others move with confidence inside it as well.

Brent consistently looked for ways to take on more scope, remove friction, and keep the work moving forward. His impact was felt well beyond his own contributions, he raised the pace and effectiveness of the people around him.

We would not be operating at the same level of velocity without the way Brent showed up this cycle.
